Dumfries Slot Car Club – Charity Endurance Race Weekend
“The 2.4 Hours of Le Mans”
All funds raised* will be shared equally between Cancer Research UK and the Club at Dumfries YMCA

Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November 2026 Doors open 8am Saturday and 9 am Sunday
Saturday Format: 9.30 – 13.00 - Free Practice and Testing and Lunch
13.00 – 13.15 Scrutineering and Driver Briefing
13.30 – 16.00 – Formula 1 Ayrton Senna Trophy Individual Event
16.15 – 18.30 – Free Practice for Sunday Event
19.30 – Dinner booked at local restaurant – please let Ant know if going
(1 minute individual quali (fastest single lap to count) followed by 4 x 5 minute heats – win from any heat) Trophies and prizes will be awarded - £8 per person entry fee
Rules: Any Formula 1 style, 1/32nd scale hard-body car with no magnet and no motor limit except maximum magnet effect of 20g.
Sunday Format: 8.00-10.30 Practice - Preference for Sunday Arrivals until 10.00

11.00 Race Starts
13.30 Lunch Break
14.30 Race Part Two Estimated finish time 5pm
(Randomly selected starting lanes for all teams with sit-outs as required. Race will be run as two heats of 4 x 18 minutes, whole total counts to final result. This will give a total race time of 2 hours 24 minutes = 2.4 Hours!
Trophies/mementoes will be awarded along with sponsored prizes as acquired for the event.
Entry Fee for each team will be a minimum of £50 sponsorship. Teams can have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 drivers.
Rules: Any 2-seater sports car that has raced at Le Mans since 1980, including any GT3 category cars. But EXCLUDING super saloons. Thus Group C, LMP, GT3 and Hypercars should be the cars mainly entered. If in doubt, please check!
Car spec – Any make, any chassis configuration or replacement and any motor up to 25k, long or short can.
No chassis magnets and maximum motor magnet effect 20g – which will cover most NSR, Scaleauto and slot.it motors.
All other components are free choice but no silicon or urethane tyres.
Note: Special Conditions
For this event a spare car will be allowed and held in parc ferme. It does not need to be the same as the race car.
Once this car has been brought into use it cannot be returned and swapped back. The ‘cost’ of switching cars is 25 laps (about 3 minutes racing, to encourage repair of main car) in the form of a penalty which will be deducted manually on the counters by the race controller.
Repairs to cars must be carried out during race time.
Only Tape for tyres may be used during lane changes.
