Solid basics training …. Fundamental

16years old in this image and serving a 5 year apprentiship. The boss of the firm was strict and had me make this heraldic sign board. I at to brush paint the half inch timber in 7 coats of paint front and back, you could see your face in it when complete. Really great training that I remembered for later in life when it came to decorating my own house. The Heraldic shields were all hand painted and they took me blooming ages! Only one of the old timers that taught me alive now and he’s doing well at 88 years old driving around Europe in his camper van.
Great times in Winner Street Paignton in 1984 especially dinner time at the local Pasty Shop! You should see the size of them!!😀👊
