🚶💖 The Global Cancer Hope Walk 2026 is coming! 💖🚶

📅 Friday 11th September
📅 Saturday 12th September

Whether you’re walking in memory of someone special, celebrating your own journey, supporting a loved one, or simply standing with the cancer community, we’d love you to be part of The Global Cancer Hope Walk.

🌍 Walk anywhere you like! Go solo, gather your family, friends or colleagues, or create your own walking group. Every step is a step of hope, friendship and support.

💗 Joining the Hope to Connect team?
We’ll be walking together in Ipswich, with the exact meeting location to be confirmed soon.

💕 Get your work involved on Friday and do the walk as an team activity in work hours

💷 Registration is £10 per person, or £20 for families of 4.

You can also crowdfund for Hope to Connect, and 10% of all funds raised will go to select cancer charities.

💛 A huge shout out to the lovely Liz, a dear friend of Hope to Connect, who will be hosting her very own The Global Cancer Hope Walk 2026 at the Kings Norton Rugby Club, Birmingham 💕

Liz is helping bring people together to walk, connect, remember and support one another - and we’re so grateful to have her as part of this global movement. 🌍👟

Here, Liz shares why this walk is so close to her heart:

Q: Liz, what made you want to organise a Kings Norton walk?

Because cancer can be incredibly lonely, and losing my dear friend Emma Adams made that feel very real to me.

Emma was a friend I met at university and, over the years, she became one of those very special friends for life. When she was diagnosed with cancer, she fought every step of the way. She refused to let her diagnosis stop her from living, and she went on to fulfil so many of the dreams and experiences on her bucket list.

Watching Emma live her life with such courage and determination made me realise how important friendship and having people beside you can be. That is what drew me to the Global Cancer Hope Walk. I loved the idea of people coming together and simply walking alongside one another - whether they are fighting cancer themselves, supporting someone they love, or remembering someone they have lost.

For me, organising the Kings Norton walk is also a way of remembering Emma. She showed me that even when life is incredibly difficult, there can still be hope, friendship, laughter and memories to make. I want the walk to be a place where people feel that they don’t have to face cancer alone.

💕👟So lovely to see Derek donning his special edition blue Global CancerHope Walk t-shirt! Derek is an absolute star in the community and we’re so delighted he’ll be join us in Ipswich 🥰🙏🏼

Derek has shared why he’s taking part, and his words beautifully capture what this walk is all about - remembrance, connection, hope and supporting one another.

“For me, taking part is a small tribute to all those affected by cancer, the survivor, the friends and family, and to every one we have lost. Inspired by the courageous Emma, but also for my mum and close friends I personally have lost. Every step we take, every pound we raise, takes us closer to finding a cure or providing respite for everone dealing with this awful disease. Walks like this connect all us that hope that day comes sooner rather than later.”

💕 Celebrating the incredible icon, Dolly Parton ❤️💕

An icon, an inspiration and a woman whose kindness has touched millions.

Having had a battle with cancer, the “Queen of Country” reminds us that even those who bring so much joy to others can face incredibly difficult journeys themselves. Our love and thoughts go to her family, friends and many millions of fans. ❤️‍🩹

Whatever life brings, we can choose how we face it - with courage, hope and love. And that’s something Dolly always did 🌸

May her next journey be peaceful and full of love ❤️
