She’s done! So many dots 😵‍💫

Eagle skull with peonies and copper leaf.

Held my breath and hoped for the best removing the copper leaf but thankfully it turned out super duper! I’m a bit of a magpie, I like a bit of sparkle and bling.

Prints available soon 🖤

Had a lovely day out yesterday to The Old Lock Up Gallery - commercial art gallery Secret Postcard exhibition. Bought these lovely pieces… can you tell we love a Pidge! 🐦 The talented artists are tagged.

I was also delighted to find out that my three postcards had already sold! I’m glad they’ve found new homes! Mine are in the last slide, just after a pic of our sunny walk in Matlock before we headed home.

I submitted my final piece today, bang on the deadline for the Advanced Certification in Botanical Illustration with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh distance course.

The culmination of three units since April. Yeah, it’s alright. I think it’s pass worthy, I hope. Not sure if it’s merit or distinction level, but we’ll see when my results come in. Passing that onto the divine now. I chose the wild strawberry as my specimen. We had to show either flowers or fruit, along with the leaves. I chose to add the roots as well.

After downing my paint brushes, I took a walk into town to Jewry Wall. A little photo dump of my afternoon treat to myself follows.

Bit surreal chugging a bottle of D&B next to such an a historical site. Thank god for the air con, too 🥵

Anyway. I’ll keep you posted on my results but for now, it’s a WRAP!
