AI KNOWS NO INTERNATIONAL BOUNDARIES, NEITHER DOES COLLABORATION AND INSPIRATION
AIslovakia - National platform for AI development in Slovakia and British Embassy, Bratislava, proudly cooperated on joint AI Mission that was held in London next week.
During 3 agenda-full days 21 AI practitioners, policy experts, researchers as well as civic society representatives from , and had the opportunity to:
- Talk, meet and get inspired from foreign policy and research experts at conference organized by The Alan Turing Institute
- Discussing the Alan Turing Institute's role in the UK ecosystem including on AI governance, safety, misinformation and standards
- Get familiar with the work and expertise of the The Royal Society (the longest functioning Academy of Sciences in the world).
- Sharing information about the different approaches to regulation with AI Governance team from DSIT / Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Learning about the programme at the ’s Digital Catapult and UK UKRI - Industrial Decarbonisation Challenge (IDC) (UK Research and Innovation)
- Meeting with Carlo Ciliberto, Associate Professor, (UCL) Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Walter Pasquarelli, Generative AI strategy adviser
It was great to see and hear that those 3 CEE countries as well as respective bodies do pay full attention to the importance of for the society, government and economy, but the trick would be how we will be able to turn existing and future strategies and policies into concrete actions that will improve the quality of R&D, standard of living, the of our economies and last but not least enhance and of the individuals.
The AI Mission in London has been done as a part of the vision with the aim to connect, boost and enhance in the international cooperation between academia, private sector, civic society and public sector representatives in this field of emerging technologies.
