Assessing & Preparing a faulty 6TB Seagate External Hard Drive for Data Recovery. The heads have become damaged and some preamplifiers, along with other particles, found inside the drive. The HDD will need to go through our decontamination procedure, a Head Swap from another donor drive, and finally imaging for recovery.

If platters are scratched, it will complicate the recovery of all data.

Lexar 128GB CF Card Recovered After Controller Failure

A client brought in a Lexar 128GB Compact Flash Card that had completely stopped mounting on their device. The culprit? A faulty SM2236G controller.

Our engineer performed a precise reflow on the controller, which allowed the card to briefly appear in Device Manager — but it kept resetting.

✅ With the help of the PC-3000 Portable Pro, we were able to stabilise the CF card, create a full image of the drive, and recover 100% of the client’s data.
