While my day job as a hairdresser helps me earn a living and lets me explore my creativity in more personal and practical ways; I am always leaning into my art and illustration skills with a focus on drawing from life and enjoying the creative process without needing my work to be “perfect” or “commercial”. A huge thank you to for their amazing work in helping me get these lovely ladies printed as stickers. So very happy with the quality and size it is a great feeling seeing my artwork exist in different artefacts, contexts and out in the real world. These will eventually be available to buy on my shop. I’m entering this amazing project organsed by the global Art Mail gallery project a fantastic creative event for all kinds of artists, image makers and creators to have their work travel the world be exhibited and all in support of their charity partners Hospital Rooms, “bringing artists designed, therapeutic environments to mental health wards across the UK.” My painted post card is inspired by religious art and icons blending my visual and illustration style in watercolour, focusing on simplicity, symbolism and form, with elements from Christian icons and religious art influences and inspiration from other artists I admire.
