Yesterday, I had this amazing machine in for overheating diagnosis! 🥵 Ryzen 5 7600x and AMD RX 7800XT with 32GB Memory!

Turns out the processor’s thermal paste was pretty dry and minimal, there wasn’t really enough compound on the IHS to begin with!

So, out came my stash of Arctic MX-6, and a new thermal transfer layer was applied 👌🏻 now the processor is running at a cool 65C under gaming load! Woo

The finstack was cleaned on both the CPU tower, and the Graphics card to ensure maximum efficiency from now on! 💨

Earlier this week, I dealt with a gaming laptop - this MSI machine was running super hot after two full on years of 1440p gaming! 🔥

I removed the back cover, unscrewed the two copper heatsinks and revealed the super dried out, crusty thermal compound!

Got to work on cleaning the old stuff off, and applied brand new best-in-class Arctic MX-6 instead! ITS GO TIME! 👌🏻🤩

Had this system in earlier this week to resolve a strange system freezing issue! 😅

I checked all sorts from stability, to memory and then Windows updates and features. 🤔

Turns out even trying to run DISM restore health would just freeze! It really wouldn’t play ball! - A fresh install was carried out and the issues resolved themselves instantly! ✅
