SoundFish Supporting churches and Christian groups with PA/sound system for special events. Have PA, will travel. John's College in Durham.

I am a sound tech, currently based in Durham, with PA which I would like to make available, supporting worship in special events and services. I was a sound tech in the last church I was part of in Bradford, and am currently part of the sound team at Cranmer Hall, part of St. I aim to get the best sound for the musicians and speakers to enhance the worship and believe we should do our best for God

. Where tech is appropriate it should add to a service, event or gig, not get in the way. In order to not make it unaffordable I don't want to charge but take donations as to what do you think it's worth. unfortunately there are costs that need to be covered - petrol, equipment maintenance, insurance etc.

Scargill House www.scargillmovement.org celebrate their 60th birthday this weekend. It is a place I have had a long involvement with, both as part of the resident community and since. It's 60 years since they first opened their doors to guests in 1959. The initial thought was a 'Lee Abbey of the north' but it has become its own place. I believe they still have links to Lee Abbey leeabbey.org.uk. The cover picture was taken in the chapel there. I'm currently preparing PA kit for the weekend as there will be significantly more guests than they usually accommodate. This, unfortunately, makes the weekend invitation only.
It seems strange that 10 years have passed since 50th where I provided part of a small PA, in the days before I had my own speakers.
It looks like it should be a good weekend.

Scargill House is home to a Christian community who welcome people for holidays, conferences and retreats in the spectacular Yorkshire Dales.

When my first book appeared in 1987 I was frankly amazed and delighted that anyone would want to exchange their hard-earned cash for stuff that had come out of my head. Thirty years later I am just as amazed and even more delighted that this trend continues.

Just realised how long it is since posting. Not good at the social media lark. There's quite a bit happened since then. Gigging with The Music Will Tell You has continued. I now have a live recording rig and have multiple recordings of them. At some point we'll put an album together. I'm now in Swaledale and have done various things with St. Andrews Grinton including a lambing service on a local farm. That is to be repeated in May. It was the screens second trip out with the projector.

News of what Michael Volland who was licenced recently will be doing. It makes Michael and Emma look like the ordinands. The are already ordained, but I suspect the ordinands will be from Cranmer Hall, where Michael is a tutor in mission.

Trainee Church of England vicars in Durham are to live in former mining areas for a year to experience social deprivation at first hand.

Possibly the smallest hall I've done a PA in for Michael Volland's licencing held at Easington School.

Had a good Ash Wednesday service tonight, broadcast on Breakout Radio. Good music with Simon Bray and St. Johns choir.
Also good preaching from Richard Briggs.

Providing PA for a Ceilidh with The Music Will Tell You. This is to raise money for Newcastle Cathedral youth choir. Good turnout of people and they seemed to enjoy themselves.
