Helloooooo! 👋

Don’t worry, we’re still here - we’ve just been busy! Charlotte has been working on some great projects with the likes of Bell Structural, Anglo American, Cloudsands, Weston Hotel and Scarborough Fair to name a few.

David has been in full music photographer mode for the summer, covering events for Cuffe & Taylor, Live Nation, Forest Live and North Yorkshire Council. There’s been brand work, headshots and of course virtual tours to keep him on his toes.

We won’t leave it as long next time, promise!

Our very first expo as a studio is tomorrow 🥳

We're looking forward to joining lots of other small businesses at the BoB Club Scarborough event, held Scarborough Rugby Union Football Club.

We'll both be there, Charlotte Middleton Design & David Ruston Photo. Discover what we've been building right here in Scarborough.

Let’s talk books. We’ve got them. Lots of them!

We’ve collected many over the years, from vintage penguin (because we all love a Penguin crime book cover), to in-depth design, brand and photography. Discover DixonBaxi, Pentagram and more.

The studio is here to inspire and nurture creativity and the books play a huge part in that. If you’re addicted to the scroll, put the phone down and explore like we used to!

You got Charlotte Middleton Design to thank for almost all of these books. As a working graphic designer they’re frequently used and the grounding for any project research.

We had a lovely visit from Ivan today, who’s creating a zine for Scarborough Film Festival, themed on photos of live music in Scarborough.

That’s right up David Ruston Photo’s street and he couldn’t resist to be part of 📸

It gave Ivan chance to be reunited with a portrait David took way back in 2010. A period of ringflash obsession and always getting in their personal space!

The zine? It’ll be handed out at an event at Beckview Studios on 26 March - link in comments
