This week we wrote two thousand words about a water tank.
In our defence: it's eight-sided, it's older than the village it stands in, it has an actual fan club who have visited twice, and after ninety-three years of continuous public service the county heritage record lists its official status as "none recorded." Which seems a bit much.
It's also, as of the time of posting this, for sale. Got 800 grand and an appetite for a converted water tower? Head on to Rightmove and have a look.

This is what we do when nobody's paying us. Imagine what we do when someone is ๐ฐ๏ธ
Built in 1933, eight-sided, and silent for ninety years. The story of the Tiptree water tower โ what it did, why it stopped, the appreciation society that came to visit, and the fact that somebody lives in it now.
