The Hangar was born out of Steve’s obsession with all things hifi. Since he was a child listing to Tubular Bells on his dad’s Pioneer PL12D, to his late teens in the early 90’s , when he was bothering every hifi shop owner in the south of England on his day off college...

With the help of his wife Sarah, the long suffering ‘Brains’ behind the business, it grew from a part-time hobby when they were both in full time employment, based in their garage, to the thriving mecca for Hifi anoraks it is today.
