Hi guys.
On Sunday 11th May I am taking part in the Farleigh Hospice Walk for Life.

This is a 25K walk from Heybridge to Chelmsford along the river Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation.

I last did it in 2023, unfortunately didn't make it last year due to a back injury so I'm even more determined this year. I really enjoyed it last time and it's for a good cause.

Microsoft reportedly started displaying full-screen Windows 11 ads with a notification about the upcoming end of Windows 10. And of course, even users with unsupported hardware are getting the banner.

I am taking part in the Farleigh Hospice Walk for Life on May 14th and I hope to raise some money for them along with my own donation, so if you might be good enough to donate that would be awesome!
It is a 15 mile walk from Heybridge Basin to Chelmsford along the river Chelmer & Blackwater navigation.
I'd better get some practice in, though many of you will know I'm a keen walker so that's no hardship for me!

I'm starting to see a few phishing scam emails to my customers using the situation in Russia/Ukraine as the basis of the scam. To be honest I expected this. There will undoubtedly be an increase in hacking/scams both from Russia itself and also other scammers pretending to be.

Be vigilant people!

One of my more interesting IT customers!

Engineer and ex-racer Alex Macfadzean, 77, and his team designed the 'streamliner' which will make its record attempt next year at the Uyuni Salt Flat in Bolivia.

Now that we are gradually coming out of lockdown things are getting a bit easier. However don't forget that if you have IT problems I can still help, either over remote connection or in person (masked and sanitised of course). It's been a tough time for us all but with vaccines going so well hopefully some normality in sight.

Now that many people are working from home, computers are now more important than ever. If you have any IT issues please get in touch. A lot of IT work can be done over a remote connection which is obviously very important now. For things that do require in-person work, I can do home/site visits (masked, sanitized and distanced of course) or computers can be collected/dropped at your location or mine. I also have a selection of cheap refurbished computers available if anyone needs.
