There’s nothing like taking a moment with yourself and mentally preparing for the day.

Normally, every morning after dropping the kids off at school, I would go to the lake, sit with myself, pray, write down affirmations, and list five things I’m grateful for. Those things truly worked for me because in this life, one of the first things we have to do is capture every negative thought and reset our mind.

This season has been about finding my summer balance.

It’s easy to flow with your schedule when school is in session because everything is already planned out. You know the school days, the times, the drop-offs, the pick-ups, and everything has a rhythm. But once summer break comes, everything changes. Now you have to figure out your summer schedule, your body is tired from the busy school year, and you’re also stepping into a new journey while learning as you go.

I’m enjoying the process, but I’ll be honest it has taken some time to lock my schedule in.

It’s been almost two weeks at our new location, and I gave myself three weeks to create a routine that works for me. Let’s just say, I’m finally figuring out what works best for me.

So today, as I prepare to head out, I’m reminding myself that it’s a must for me to get back to the things that work. Pray. Reset. Affirm. Be grateful. Capture every negative thought and keep going.

I just wanted to share my morning thought with you all. I hope this encourages someone today, and I hope to see you all at the open house. 💚
