Earlier this year, we paid an engagement visit to some of our Last Mile Actors ( ) in the Ketu North District. It was an inspiring experience witnessing the difference in their lives.

Among the many remarkable stories we encountered was that of Christiana, who shares in this video how her hope and confidence in poultry farming have been restored through the support she received from the FILMA GHANA and Agro Innova Ltd Poultry Initiative.

Christiana faced challenges that made the journey uncertain. Today, her story reflects a renewed sense of purpose, opportunity, and optimism for the future.

In this video, we celebrate the remarkable progress of some of the young ladies (LMAs) who have successfully harvested their six-week-old broilers — a truly inspiring milestone that reflects dedication, resilience, and the growing potential within our communities.

The video also highlights the support and encouragement from community leaders such as Pastor Prince Klu, who has witnessed firsthand the transformative impact this initiative is making in the lives of young women and youth.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝘁 𝗞𝗲𝘁𝘂 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵

Recently, the AgroInnova Project Team conducted an engagement visit to the Last Mile Actors (LMAs) and host farms in the Ketu North District of the Volta Region. 🌍🐔

During the visit, we had the honour of meeting Mr. , an officer at the Agric Department of the Ketu North Municipal Assembly, whose support and advise have been instrumental in the successful implementation of the Poultry Success Initiative within the district. 🤝🏽 He expressed his delight in the programme and commended its positive impact on youth and women, particularly in creating dignified and sustainable jobs. 👩🏽‍🌾👨🏽‍🌾💼

The team was warmly received by the host farms, who enthusiastically showcased the progress and remarkable growth of their poultry operations. 🐥📈 Their commitment and diligence were evident in the improvements observed on-site.

A key highlight of the visit was the interactive sessions with the LMAs. 🗣️✨ They openly shared their poultry journeys — detailing how the initiative has positively influenced their income levels and inspired them to venture confidently into independent poultry production. 💪🏽🐔 Their stories reflected resilience, optimism, and a renewed sense of purpose. 🌱

The team also took the opportunity to provide further guidance on best practices in poultry management and biosecurity measures. 📘🛡️ In addition, LMAs were encouraged to adopt the AkokoTakra Livestock Farming App 📱 to enhance record-keeping, monitor daily operations effectively, and improve overall farm management through digital solutions.

The visit was both insightful and rewarding for the team. 🙌🏽 Beyond monitoring progress, it reaffirmed the transformative impact of our interventions and strengthened our resolve to continue supporting communities across the region. 🌍✨

📈 This expansion reflects our broader vision: to position the as a leading poultry hub in , with the vision to support 10,000 young female farmers and youth, and create over 10,000 jobs in the Volta Region. By and with the right tools, training, and market access, we are not only providing jobs and making lives better, but also contributing to national efforts to reduce the country’s reliance on imported poultry products.
