Think of every major brand name you know of. They hardly ever attach their product offering to their name. The ones that did, dropped them afterwards. For instance Apple Inc was registered as “Apple Computer Inc”. That makes sense because they make more than just computers
If you want to name your brand, think about your values are rather than what you do. When I started this design business, I named it “Logocentric” (because I was just designing logos) that became obsolete when I moved into brand strategy and branding as a whole.
Mercury is based on my values. Mercury is an element that behaves differently from what it’s supposed to. It’s metal yet liquid in room temperature, and as a liquid it acts differently from other liquids. That’s what my brand stands for, “being unconventional”, that’s the value and hence the name is derived from there.
I hope this helps, let’s talk in the comments if you’ll like to engage more on this.
