It is always a special feeling to be part of something big, especially when that something brings together so many famous and well-known names from the experimental/noise music scene — people who helped build this scene and make it so unique.
I am very grateful and honoured to be part of "Viva Negativa! The New Blockaders: The Noise of Art and Nothing" book by Nick Soulsby.
Nick included our interview on page 294 of the book, where we talked about my collaboration LP with the legendary The New Blockaders, "Degenerative Themes" (2015), the TNB tribute CD "Symphony of Nothing" (2014), "Nuclear Love" (2013, digital) and of course about The New Blockaders and noise in general.
A BIG and endless THANKS to Nick for doing this massive piece of work and for inviting me to be part of it.
In an increasingly digital world, there is something truly special about seeing this work preserved in a physical book and knowing that I am part of it.
The book presents the story of The New Blockaders’ work, from their groundbreaking 1982 LP "Changez Les Blockeurs" to their most recent "Antibox".
Forensically detailed and beautifully written by Nick Soulsby, this is his latest book following his groundbreaking works on Coil, Lydia Lunch, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Swans, and Centre Iberico.
