The Clay Crews's project contributes to an evolving project of urban creators turning a former industrial building into a creative community space.

Through hands-on experimentation with reclaimed construction soil and locally sourced earth, participants will explore earth and clay building methods to design and build one or more elements: a rammed earth wall, a clay oven, earth and wooden permanent furniture.

In collaboration with BC architects & studies & materials BC architects & studies & materials, the workshop encourages learning by making, exploring both temporary and permanent, fixed and movable interventions. The final designs will emerge collectively throughout the process, shaped by the site, its materials, and the people involved.

Submerged Frames reactivates the hidden Zenne (an old river crossing Brussels in the past) through five urban nodes, each framed by playful modular interventions developed through a collaborative workshop process. Working with a group of participants, the project brings together mosaic, writing, spatial assembly and visual mapping as four interconnected modes of production.

Across the workshop, participants will walk, collect, discuss, design and build together, using a flexible kit-of-parts to translate fragments of the river into spatial narratives. While allowing all four nodes to overlap, the project can produce a collective route where the invisible river is traced, narrated, touched, assembled and experienced.
The workshop becomes a shared experience of old Zenne: a three-dimensional map, archive, and gathering point where fragments from the whole process come together.

Flip-n-Sit explores the creation of modular furniture consisting of multiple parts with distinct functions, where various activities are supported for Circularium. The space is a hub for many local businesses, highlighting an opportunity to bring vibrancy and social cohesion to this diverse workspace.

Flip-n-Sit aims to create a variety of sitting spaces to allow more users to use the area at once, bringing more activity into the outdoor space and also repurposing scrap materials from the workshop. Through activities like sitting, laying, standing, and more, the structures can be arranged to bring vibrancy to this area, while also allowing for different arrangements as the needs of the users change. The flexible modules can be easily reconfigured, offering a unique experience for every user function.

Constellation Firefly focuses on Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, a neighborhood shaped by constant transformation, and explores how fragile traces of nature can become lasting elements of the urban environment.

The project aims to transform this collection into a network of small porcelain lights, turning the space into a glowing landscape of natural imprints and urban memories. By doing so, it seeks to transform dark and overlooked urban spaces into safe, magical, and welcoming environments.

Seeing and looking are two different things.
Hearing and listening are two different things.

How can we tell the story of a place without reducing it to one single voice?

Cureghem is a neighbourhood of transit and arrival, shaped by migration, industrial traces, and forms of resilience. The project dives into the district as an open fieldbook: a place to walk through slowly, look beyond the obvious and document the small fragments of daily life that often go unnoticed. Through filmmaking, photography, sketching, working with upcycled textiles, collective journaling, and mixed-media experimentation, the participants will transform their observations into interconnected visual outputs. They will be presented together in an exhibition that reflects the neighbourhood’s multicultural and layered character, while creating moments of visibility, exchange, and connection between participants, locals, and visitors.

From the Tutor Camp, where we prepared tutors and spaces for the days ahead, to opening the program at the and hosting you all at Oš Vežica. 180 participants worked on as many as 12 projects with our tutors, all implemented across the city of Rijeka.
To better understand the local context, we listened to interesting lectures and had many project collaborators from Croatia.
We explored the city through organized walks and visited the island of Krk.
We got to know each other and celebrated 42 countries during the National Night in the city’s art center , , located in a former industrial complex.
We also shared a Croatian evening under Rijeka’s cranes.
In the end, we presented everything through exhibitions across the city and many beautiful projects.
