On December 12, 2024, YouTube Academy was a huge success in Ambon. It was such an incredible feeling to finally see this event come to life. Back in late 2021, the .id team and I had a big discussion about how we could bring digital education to 13 cities across Eastern Indonesia.
Thanks to an amazing collaboration with and , that dream became a reality here in Ambon. But this event wasn’t just about sharing knowledge—it was also about learning. We got a deeper understanding of how Ambon, as the City of Music, continues to inspire. Personally, I learned so much from the musicians here, each bringing their unique stories and colors.
Bang , with his vision for advancing music in Ambon, has been a huge source of inspiration. Being here today, I can see how that spirit is still alive and thriving in this city.
What .id , .fest & YouTube is doing in Ambon is just the start of a long journey. There’s so much creative potential here, and it’s clear why Ambon is recognized as a UNESCO City of Music.
