“What The Font”
Celebrating The Independence of Personal Letters Identity
In its conventional realm, fonts are often perceived merely as vessels of communication—either plain and direct or imbued with style and personal elegance. But what if we ventured further to liberate them?
"What The Font" is an exhibition that invites artists, designers, and the public to explore letters as independent icons through innovative typographic techniques. It challenges us to reimagine letters into new forms, influenced by personal experiences, cultural legacies, and social contexts. This creative journey encourages us to see letters in a fresh light, discovering new meanings and playful expressions.

2. Artwork :
• Individual or group work, and must be no more than 3 works per person.
3. Digital Files :
Two-dimensional works, A vertical, high-resolution 2D typographic poster in the form of digital files with certain format and using the provided template download the template here *https://bit.ly/Typefest_Submission_template*
Digital file format :
• for physical exhibition : A2, using provided template CMYK, 300 dpi, PDF or .PNG
• for online catalog : original artwork without templates A4, CMYK, 200 dpi, PDF or .PNG
• File name: Name_country_artworktitle_typefest2024.pdf
4. Submission :

5. Deadline : All entries must be received by 31 August 2024

Participant : Open to all and free
Exhibits : Recent work have been completed within the last 5 years
