We’re almost halfway through 2026 already. Even though January feels so long ago, the last six months have passed really quickly.
Last week, I spent a long weekend with my closest girlfriends. After a busy few weeks, it was just what I needed, some fun, relaxation and time away. Lots of laughter, good food and a little shopping always do me the world of good, and I’m always grateful for their friendship and company.
The start of the year felt slower. There were lots of things to consider, both personally and professionally. It took time to let go of things that no longer aligned with me, but I’m now beginning to see and feel the benefits of those changes.
My direction in business remains much the same, but I’m becoming clearer about what does and doesn’t sit comfortably with me.
I love working with wonderful clients to create beautiful pieces for meaningful occasions.
I love being challenged creatively, exploring new ideas, collaborating with talented suppliers and seeing those shared visions come to life.
I’m incredibly grateful for the recommendations from past clients and planners who continue to trust me with their projects.
I’m learning that not every urgency requires my response, especially when it’s beyond my control.
Not every opportunity needs a yes.
Trusting my intuition is often the right decision.
Requests to use AI within my artwork will always be a polite no. Our custom creations are built on original artwork and thoughtful design, and that will continue to be at the heart of what I do.
Last-minute requests for client work or styled shoots aren’t always possible, and that’s okay.
My pricing reflects not only the finished product, but the knowledge, experience and skill that sit behind it.
As the second half of the year approaches, I’m feeling grateful, focused and excited for what’s ahead.
