A pair of Heco PSM 1000 speakers came in for a crossover refresh.
✅ Replaced the old capacitors with high-quality Jantzen capacitors
✅ Installed new Jantzen binding posts for a more secure connection and improved reliability

The faulty transistor in the power supply section has been replaced.

The issue was a hum coming from the speakers.
At the customer’s request, all “black flag” capacitors were also replaced to improve long-term reliability and overall performance.

Bias and DC offset were adjusted and calibrated😎

A pleasant surprise as well under the cover, the manufacturer had hidden an envelope containing the unit schematic for repair purposes. Nice touch 👌
