Nobody told me this in 4 years of college.
Everyone learns binary. Everyone learns decimal. But nobody ever stops to explain why Hexadecimal even exists — or how it actually connects to binary in a way that just clicks.
One Hex digit = 4 bits. A nibble. Half a byte. That’s literally it. That’s the whole secret they skipped over.
And once you see it you can’t unsee it. Every memory address, every color code, every low level dump you’ve ever stared at confused — it was Hex the whole time, just quietly translating binary for your brain.
The dots were always there. Nobody connected them.
