Noble Work Done by a youth team in Jaipur!! Hats off to them!! (y)

Team Raksha , International Fund for Animal Welfare - IFAW , Wildlife Trust of India and Dept. Of Forest - Jaipur Zoo organsied free bird treatment camp from 13-16th January 2016 outside Ram Niwas Garden Gate and rescued over 341 birds mainly Pigeons in 4days.

Since 1st January to 27th Jan we have rescued 536 birds in jaipur , 44birds in phulera rescue calls are still going on. Though this year the weather was supportive and we saw less number of mortality due to hypothermia. However, the totel number of injured birds brought in was higher due to splitting of the festival into two days.

Team Raksha started the first free bird treatment camp in 2006 and since then it has been a constant endeavor to provide best rescue, treatment, post care and rehabilitation facilities to birds.

We would like to thank all sponsors, supporters, members and mainly Veterinarians and volunteers without whom it would have been difficult to manage the rescue, treatment, post rescue care and rehab efforts.

Hello Jaipurites!
Team raksha celebrated World Pangolin Day today on 21st Feb by educating students and enlightening citizens about the plight of their very own chinti-khor.
Demand for their meat and scales in China & south east Asia and trafficking is the main culprit affecting their populations globally.
How can you help?
*Educate others about the pangolin
*Stop buying products with pangolin origin
* Inform Dept of forest or WCCB about encounter or if you see any illegal activity.
*Change your Dp on whatsapp and Facebook to raise awareness

HELP US Save the pangolin before it dissappears without even being know it ever existed.
