AI tool එකකින් "මගේ Gmail එකේ අද ආපු emails මොනවද" කියලා ඇහුවොත්? හරි "මගේ calendar එකේ meetings check කරලා දෙන්නකෝ" කියලා ඇහුවොත්? උත්තර දෙන්න බැරි ඇයි කියලා හිතුවද?

මොකද AI එකට කෙලින්ම access එකක් නෑ.

මේකට AI tool එකට ඔයාගේ actual accounts වලට "connect" වෙන්න ඕනි. ඒ connection එක possible කරන technology එක තමයි MCP - Model Context Protocol. අද කියලා දෙනවා ඒක මොකක්ද, කොහොමද වැඩ කරන්නෙ කියලා, සරලවම.

AI model එකක් කියන්නෙ, ලොකු පොත් ගොඩක් කියවලා දැනුම ගත්ත කෙනෙක් වගේ. ඒත් ඒ කෙනාට ඔයාගේ personal email එකට, calendar එකට, files වලට කෙලින්ම access එකක් නෑ (weather වගේ public, general data එකක් නෙවෙයි මේවා, ඔයාගේම private accounts). ඒ private access එක දෙන්නෙ MCP කියන එකෙන්. MCP කියන්නෙ AI tool එකකට, ඔයාගේ apps වලට connect වෙන්න පුළුවන් විදියේ standard protocol එකක්.

හිතන්න AI model එක office එකකට අලුතින් ආපු ස්මාර්ට් employee කෙනෙක් වගේ. ඒ කෙනා general knowledge ගොඩක් දන්නවා. ඒත් office එකේ systems (email, calendar, project files) access කරන්න ඕනි නම්, log in credentials දෙන්න ඕනි, permission දෙන්න ඕනි. MCP කියන්නෙ "access card" එක වගේ, AI employee ට office systems වලට connect වෙන්න දෙන.

Email, Slack, project management tools, databases, මේ හැමදේම AI එකට "connect" කරගන්න පුළුවන් MCP හරහා.

මේකෙන් AI tool එකක් "chat කරන bot" එකකින් "actual work කරන assistant" එකක් බවට පත් වෙනවා. ඔයාගේ emails කියවලා reply draft කරන්න, calendar manage කරන්න, මේ වගේ real, personal tasks AI එකට කරගන්න පුළුවන් වෙන්නෙ MCP වගේ technology නිසා.

Access දෙනකොට careful වෙන්න ඕනි. ඔයාගේ email/files වලට AI එකට access දෙනකොට, ඒ AI tool එක trust කරන එකක් ද කියලා හිතන්න ඕනි, මොකද sensitive data වලට access දෙන්නෙ.

ඉතින් ඊළඟ වතාවක AI tool එකක "connect your Gmail" හරි "connect your Calendar" කියලා option එකක් දැක්කොත්, දැන් ඔයාට තේරෙනවා ඒ පිටිපස්සේ තියෙන්නෙ MCP කියන technology එක කියලා. මේ වගේ AI concepts ලේසියෙන් තේරුම් ගන්න follow කරලා තියාගන්න!😍

Excited to share a project I recently worked on - developing an AI-driven mobile robot that can detect and classify waste in indoor environments using computer vision and deep learning.

The system uses the YOLO object detection model to identify different types of waste in real time through a camera. The robot processes the detection results and navigates within the environment to assist with waste management tasks.
