Representative Rugie Yatu Barry Sponsors 30 TVET Scholarships

August 3, 2026

Representative Rugie Yatu Barry of Montserrado County Electoral District #1 has sponsored 30 scholarships for Plumbing and Electricity students at Ckentrick Institute Of Technology in Harrisburg Township.

The support, valued at LD$135,000, followed a meeting with the Director, Ishmael Paul Kontroll III, who appealed for assistance to help more young people gain practical vocational skills.

Director Kontroll thanked Representative Barry for her commitment to youth empowerment through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), while Representative Barry encouraged young people to seize the opportunity and enroll before classes begin on August 26, 2026.

Today, March 6, 2026, the Ckentrick Institute of Technology , in partnership with St. Matthias A.M.E. Zion High School , successfully held its first Graduation Ceremony in Harrisburg Township, Montserrado County District #1. 🎓

This celebration marked the completion of a three (3) months computer training program!where students were trained in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

We extend our sincere appreciation to St. Matthias A.M.E. Zion High School for the partnership and continuous support, and to all the graduates for their dedication, commitment, and hard work throughout the training program.

As we continue to empower young people with practical skills, we are excited to announce our **next training program , which will include new courses such as:
