The Sapphire Dual-X R7 265. This card was a budget king back in the day, and after some much-needed TLC, itโ€™s still holding its own!

Just like the GTX 770, I gave this one a complete teardown:

Deep-cleaned the Dual-X cooling shroud and fins. ๐Ÿ’จ

Applied fresh high-grade thermal paste. ๐ŸŒก๏ธ

Verified stability with a full stress test. โœ…

Itโ€™s running significantly cooler and quieter now. Thereโ€™s something special about keeping these older Radeon cards out of the scrap heap and back in the game.

Just finished a refurbishment on this Gigabyte Windforce GTX 770. Even though itโ€™s a few generations old, these cards were built like tanks.

I did a complete teardown, deep-cleaned the triple-fan array, and swapped out the old, crusty thermal paste for some fresh high-performance compound. After putting it back together and testing, the temperatures are significantly lower and it's running smooth as silk.

Itโ€™s amazing what a little maintenance can do for older hardware. Who else is still rocking a classic GPU in their secondary rig?

I just finished refurbishing this MSI Twin Frozr R9 270x Hawk Edition. Itโ€™s a legendary overclockerโ€™s card that was struggling with years of dust and thermal neglect.

I carefully disassembled the card and scrubbed the heatsink fins, cleaned the dual fans, and wiped the PCB with 99% isopropyl alcohol. I swapped out the dried out factory thermal paste for high-performance MX-6 compound to ensure maximum heat transfer.

The results?

Massive improvement! Dropped from a throttled 85ยฐC to a rock-solid 64ยฐC under load.
Passed a stress test with zero artifacts.
Itโ€™s whisper-quiet again now that the fans donโ€™t have to work overtime.
