This is a powerful story. The strength is not the certificate. The strength is the transformation
From Never Using a Computer to Working at Kool TechFix
When Kool TechFix partnered with the Federal Ministry of Education through the TVET Programme, we made a commitment to ourselves:
We would not compromise on quality.
Among the learners assigned to us was Saminu Ahmad from Roni Local Government Area, Jigawa State.
When Saminu joined the programme, he had only a secondary school certificate. He had never worked with a computer before. He couldn't operate one and had no experience in computer maintenance.
But he came with something more important than experience:
The willingness to learn.
Through months of intensive training, practical sessions, discipline, and dedication, Saminu steadily developed his skills. He learned basic computer operations, hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer service.
Today, Saminu is no longer just a trainee.
He is a certified computer maintenance technician.
His passion for technology became so strong that he relocated to Dutse to continue growing in the field.
Today, Saminu works with us at Kool TechFix, helping to receive computers from customers, assisting with diagnostics, carrying out basic repairs and supporting daily operations.
This is what skills development is supposed to look like.
Not just certificates.
Not just attendance.
Real skills. Real opportunities. Real transformation.
Saminu's journey is one of many success stories emerging from Kool TechFix. Stories of young people who are choosing skills over excuses, growth over comfort, and opportunity over limitation.
We are proud of how far he has come, and we look forward to seeing how far he will go.
Congratulations, Saminu Ahmad.
Your journey is only beginning.
