OUR STORY | HOW IT STARTED
Peniel’s Girls Charity was born from life experience and a deep concern for girls in rural communities who are forced to miss schools due to lack of access to sanitary pads.
Growing up, our founder witnessed—and personally experienced—the health risks, shame, and stigma faced by girls who resorted to unhygienic alternatives during menstruation. These challenges go beyond health; they deny girls their right to education, dignity, and equal opportunity.
Driven by the belief that no girl should miss school because of her period, Peniel’s Girls Charity was established to bridge this gap.
Our mission is to provide free sanitary pads to public secondary school girls in rural areas, alongside menstrual health education and school-based awareness programs.
Our focus includes:
• Providing free sanitary pads to thousands of girls annually
• Educating girls on menstrual health and hygiene
• Partnering with schools and communities to promote dignity and inclusion
By supporting girls to stay in school, we are helping to break cycles of poverty, inequality, and social injustice.
We invite partners, volunteers, donors, and well-meaning individuals to join us in creating a future where every girl can learn, grow, and thrive with confidence.
Together, we can make a lasting impact.
