The kidnappers initiated contact with him. Initially, he assumed it was a job referral from an acquaintance. Upon arrival in Zaria, the kidnappers directed him to a park where they would meet. When he finally met the individual, the man confirmed he was the person he had been communicating with over the phone. 🙏
The individual informed him that he obtained his number from someone and required John's services for a task, to which John agreed. 💯✅😊
Later, they claimed they were traveling by motorcycle and transported him to another location. At that moment, he became extremely fearful as another individual arrived carrying an unfamiliar firearm. 😳💔🤦
They then covered his face with a mask and transported him from Kaduna for approximately six hours to Zamfara State.
The kidnappers repeatedly inquired about his influential connections in Jos, but he explained that he came from a humble background and had no one to assist him. He emphasized that he was the primary breadwinner for his family. 🤦
The kidnappers then demanded his father's phone number, but John provided his brother's number instead, as his father had passed away.
This marked the beginning of negotiations, which progressed from ₦30 million to ₦6 million.
