Join the Technovation Workshop Launch in Calabar!

Are you a student between 10 and 18 years? This program is for you!

Date: Saturday, October 29, 2016
Venue: EDC at Prof. Eyo Ita House

You’ll learn the basics of coding with App Inventor and brainstorm what community problems you can solve within the themes of peace, poverty, environment, health, education, or equality. You’ll also have the chance to start prototyping mobile app solutions.

All girls, mentors, and coaches who are new to App Inventor and Technovation or just want a refresher for the season are welcome to come. Participating in these workshops is a great way for you to meet additional teammates and for mentors to pair up with teams.

Lunch will be provided and it is free to join for the day!

And it's a wrap, the summit was very inspirational and a lot of ideas were being discussed, from how to make favorable policies, to affordability of Internet, to public enlightenment and we also discussed challenges facing women's involvement in the ICT in most African countries. It's not going to be like other regular summits , it's a call for us all to join in fighting gender discrimination. And our goal by: 2030 there would be a fifty-fifty equal involvement in Technology.
