I used to have a very bad habit.🫣
I’d leave a comment on someone’s post, and before I know it, the comment section had turned into a WWE main event. People would insult me, curse me, question my village, and even drag my entire bloodline into the conversation.
Then I’d do what every certified petty person does… I’d click on their profile.
I was ready to return fire with premium insults and enough receipts to send them to the cleaners.
But one day, I stopped.
I realized something: not everyone on social media came for meaningful conversations. Some people didn’t come to exchange ideas—they came to exchange insults.
And that’s when it hit me.
You don’t argue with everyone. You find your tribe.
Find people who can disagree without becoming disrespectful. People who can challenge your opinion without challenging your existence. People who understand that having a different perspective isn’t an invitation to a verbal street fight.
These days, I simply conserve my energy.
Because not every comment deserves a reply, and not every invitation to chaos deserves your attendance.
Protect your peace. Find conversations that grow your mind, not your blood pressure.
