☀️FEEZLINKZ SOLAR TIP OF THE WEEK☀️
"Why Is My Inverter Overloading When My Panels Are Working Fine?" 🤔
Great question we get a lot! Here's the simple truth:
**Your Inverter Size ≠ Your Panel Size**
Many people think "bigger panels = bigger inverter automatically." Not quite. Your inverter is rated in **VA (Volt-Amps)** or KVA, and it must match what you actually plan to "run", not just what your panels produce.
⚡ Quick Rule of Thumb.
Add up the wattage of everything you want to power at the same time:
- TV (100W) + Fridge (150W) + Fans (3 x 70W) + Lights (5 x 10W) = *~570W*
Then add 20-30% buffer for startup surges (fridges and AC units "kick" harder when starting). So a 1.5kVA inverter would comfortably handle this — but adding an AC unit later? You'd need to upgrade.
🔑 **Why this matters:**
- Undersized inverter = constant tripping/overload alarms
- Oversized inverter = wasted money + poor efficiency at low loads
💡 Feezlinkz Tip: Before buying, list out your appliances and their wattage (usually printed on the back or nameplate). Send us the list — we'll help you size it correctly for FREE, so you don't overspend or underpower your home.
