PRESS RELEASE
CPSST CONDEMNS THE BRUTAL KILLING OF A MOTHER AND HER SIX CHILDREN IN KANO STATE

The Centre for Peace, Sustainability and Social Tolerance (CPSST) expresses deep shock, grief, and outrage over the horrific killing of a mother and her six children in Kano State. This cold-blooded act of violence is a grave affront to humanity and a tragic reminder of the urgent need to protect innocent lives in our communities.

CPSST strongly condemns this heinous crime and extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the people of Kano State, and all Nigerians mourning this painful loss. The murder of defenseless children and their mother is unacceptable under any circumstance and must not be allowed to go unpunished.

We call on the relevant security agencies and authorities to conduct a thorough, transparent, and expedited investigation to ensure that the perpetrators are identified, apprehended, and brought to justice in accordance with the law. Justice must be seen to be done to restore public confidence and deter future acts of violence.

CPSST also urges community leaders, religious institutions, and civil society organisations to intensify efforts toward promoting peace, social tolerance, and early conflict-prevention mechanisms, especially at the grassroots level. Violence thrives where vigilance, compassion, and accountability are weakened.

As a peace-building organisation, CPSST reaffirms its commitment to advocating for the sanctity of life, peaceful coexistence, and a society where no family is subjected to such unbearable loss.

We stand in solidarity with the people of Kano State and all Nigerians who demand justice, safety, and peace.
