A new session begins today at the Better by Far University and for me, it's a special one as it is the start of my final year there. The thought alone comes with a mix of gratitude, nostalgia, and hopeful anticipation.🥹🩶
Slide 2 takes me back to one of the choking but fulfilling days of my 300 level first semester, my most serious semester in Unilorin so far. It was during our entrepreneurship practicals, a compulsory course for all 300 level students. Each group needed someone to operate the embroidery software used to design texts that would be sewn on a piece of clothing.
My group members from different faculties stood still, tension rising because nobody knew how to use it. The only person I personally knew in that group was my baby girl .bits , she looked at me, whispered something I cannot even remember in verbatim in my ears, but it was definitely that little push I needed.
Now, it was not CorelDraw or Photoshop, neither was it Illustrator 🤭, but an entirely different software meant for embroidery and not graphic design. Interesting how the moment I picked up the mouse, my design brain switched on...SubḥānaLlāh, the design skills I had built over time came to play, and with speed and neatness too. The trainer himself commended it, and my group members even started asking me questions on how I did certain things. Small me felt like a star girl that day, Lol… AlhamduliLlah.
Safe to say we all bagged our A in the course? AlhamduliLlahi Rabbil A'alameen.✨
As I begin this final lap, I ask ALlah to make it easy, fruitful, and rewarding.
And to every student, whether just starting, midway, or also wrapping up, may ALlah make your journey smooth, grant you ease and understanding, and may HE crown your efforts with Tawfeeq (Success).💫
