CHAPTER 1 — THE WEDDING NIGHT

The wedding reception was still noisy when Amaka noticed that her husband Daniel, had disappeared.

It was supposed to be the happiest night of her life.

After five years of dating, they had finally gotten married.

Their families were celebrating.

Friends were dancing.

People were shouting:

“Finally! Amaka don marry!”

At about 11:30 p.m., Amaka entered their hotel room.

Daniel wasn't there.

She called him no answer.

She called again,Still nothing.

Then she noticed something strange.

His wedding ring was sitting on the bedside table.

And underneath it was a folded piece of paper.

Her hands began shaking as she opened it.

Only six words were written:

Ask your mother what happened in 2018.

Amaka froze.

2018?

What could possibly have happened in 2018?

Before she could think, someone knocked.

It was Daniel's younger brother.

He looked terrified.

He entered the room and locked the door behind him.

Then he whispered,Amaka!!you need to leave this hotel tonight.
