Earlier in my life, I had familiarized myself with people that work in the content creation industry. And I had understudied many content creators and marketers, who are later known today as influencers in most of the social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and WhatsApp. People like Olumide GlowVille, Pamilerin (PamPam), Akpoko Doctor, and many others I can't mention now.
Studying these influencers and the training I had in the business of content creation has helped me to be relevant in my brand and the profession I chose to study in school (mass communication). I became aware of things in the content creation business earlier enough that added to the rebranding of Black Pride Magazine, which many of you knew me with, to Black Media Brands (now parental body).
In my journalistic practices, I became strategic in dealing with some issues of discussion. There was a time I applied for journalistic work without looking thoroughly into the brand I was applying for. After my submission, I went through the website and read most of the stories and the terms therein, I became disturbed and within myself, I said: ”...if I am eventually called for interview, I will deliberately not put any effort into it...” Lo and behold, I was messaged, interviewed, and later told to write an article. I know you're wondering why I decided not to put effort into the interview and the article. It is simple. I realized right on time that if I start working with that brand, I wouldn't have much time to focus on myself. I wish to have a flexible working term, not one that would make me feel in a cage, restricted to my developing brand.
I was intentional. Focused. Determined. And ready to learn. It got to a point, I realized while thinking about my brand, Black Media Brands that I would need to learning basics things about graphics and video editing. So, I started to learn, unlearn and relearn. During these processes, I was invited by people of likes minds (Seed Developers) to join their group. I took it upon myself to learn as much I can from their various compendium of knowledge. After few months with them, I could design anything but my focus is on Logo designs. With my intensive knowledge in content creation and that of graphics design, I don't stress myself to find designers again whenever my brand needed them.
You are one of the reasons Seed Developers is here with three (3) free days (14th - 16th of October) training to groom you into becoming a professional graphics designer through Pixellab, Coreldraw, Adobe Illustrator, and also giving you the bonuses of learning the business of content creation coupled with audience marketing strategies that could help you get more customers.
