So Apple support (India) just told me they won't accept an iPhone for service or repair without a proper bill/invoice.

- So what if the iPhone is 4-5 years old and you no longer have the bill?
- What if it was purchased from a local / second hand phone store that gave a random invoice?
- What if you bought it second hand without a bill?

They simply won't accept it.

Personally, I understand asking for proof of ownership in some cases, especially for stolen devices, but completely refusing service/repair for older phones without a perfect invoice feels a bit too much. At the end of the day, it's still a genuine Apple product.

What do you guys think should be the right policy here?
