**WEEKLY REFLECTION— WEEK 7: SELF & PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT**

Week 7 of the 3MTT programme has made me realize that growth is not just about learning new technical skills, but also about building discipline and consistency.

As the weeks progress, I’ve started developing a more structured routine for learning, practicing, and managing my time. I now dedicate specific hours each day to coding, reviewing class materials, and working on projects. Even on days when motivation is low, I’m learning that consistency matters more than mood.

One area I still struggle with is maintaining balance and avoiding distractions, especially when juggling personal responsibilities alongside the programme. Sometimes procrastination creeps in, but I’m becoming more intentional about staying accountable and pushing through discomfort.

This journey is teaching me to take full responsibility for my own growth. No one can learn, practice, or improve for me. Every small step, every completed task, and every challenge overcome is shaping me into a better software developer and a more disciplined person.

I’m learning that success is built daily — through habits, persistence, and showing up consistently.

**WEEKLY REFLECTION 5: GROWTH, DOING & RESPONSIBILITY**

Even though I didn’t actively participate in the 3MTT x NextGen Knowledge Showcase, I took time to reflect on what I’ve been building so far in my Software Development learning journey with 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT).

Over the past weeks, I’ve been attempting to build small projects and practice exercises that strengthen my understanding of core concepts. While these may not have been showcased publicly, they have been critical in shaping my growth. One key thing this experience has taught me is that actually building something — no matter how small — reveals gaps in understanding that theory alone can easily hide. Reading or watching tutorials can make things seem straightforward, but once you start coding, you encounter real challenges that force you to think deeper and problem-solve.

One thing that worked differently than I expected is how often I had to revisit basics. I used to think moving forward quickly meant progress, but I’ve realized that slowing down to truly understand foundational concepts actually makes building easier and more effective. Debugging, in particular, has become a powerful teacher for me.

If I could approach this differently next time, I would push myself to participate more actively — whether by showcasing a project, collaborating with others, or sharing my progress publicly. I’ve learned that visibility and feedback are important parts of growth, not just personal effort.

This week has reinforced a sense of responsibility in me — to take ownership of my learning, to build consistently, and to step out of my comfort zone. Growth is not just about knowing, but about doing.
