Travel sketching in reverse 🫣
Context; I took this Dingbats notebook on a 10 day trip to Ireland in 2024 with the full intention to use it.. The result at the end of the trip? The first page has two light pencil sketches in it, and that was it.
Since I've gotten into urban sketching recently I thought I'd retroactively finish pages for this trip using pictures I took and online info on the places I visited... I'm currently on the third page and having so much fun!
There's no pressure, keeping the sketches loose and quick, not being bothered by mistakes, and purely working for my own amusement has made this so much fun!

I'm back! It's been a while since I posted anything. The last couple of months I've been dealing with some health stuff and generally didn't feel like making any posts.

I wanted to start doing something fun with art again, not just studio stuff (which is also fun, but in a different way🙂).
So I took out all my watercolour stuff and started

I found this notebook I took on a trip to Ireland ☘️ two years ago with every intention of sketching some stuff throughout the trip. I sketched exactly two things in pencil, the roof of a building and a sword...🫣
Since I have a two week break from my dayjob I decided to take the pictures from that trip and fill out some pages. I'm going for quick, loose, and enough is enough. Nipping my own perfectionism in the butt and not getting stuck in too much detail.

I'm going to try and be better at using my social media. I'm going to try to keep this "loose" as well. No overly edited photos or videos, just being a bit more present/consistent/real.

Hi! Yes, I'm still here! I really need to get better at social media and post more. I decided to play with my pencils to try out how they layer. I thought it would be fun to make some aceo/atc cards. This cheap watercolour paper doesn't allow for putting them down with detail. I guess lll see where they end up after I build them up more.

I think I figured out my grid setup for markets & cons, this one also is easiest for transport. I can go higher if need be and go across, but I want a flag or banner of something of the sorts for that.🏳️

I also need to come up with a flag or table runner for the front of the table.
Also starting to collect displays, they need to be smart, easily transportable, not to many.
It's starting to come together!
