As the National Examination Board (NEB) prepared to publish the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results, its official website temporarily went down. The government has set up two result portals, see.gov.np and neb.gov.np, while Nepal Telecom has also provided a separate platform. However, neb.gov.np was showing a “502 Bad Gateway” error, and www.see.ntc.net.np was also not opening, displaying “This site can’t be reached.”

The exact cause has not been officially confirmed, but the disruption reflects a familiar SEE result-day problem, when heavy traffic from thousands of students often leads to slowdowns and temporary outages on official result sites.

“Incognito” can’t hide your digital fingerprint?

Even if you clear your history, websites can still identify you through browser fingerprinting ,a technique that uses your device and browser settings to track you across the web.

For example, if you visit the same shopping site from a private tab at work and again at home, it may still recognize your browser fingerprint and link the visits. Private mode keeps your history off your laptop, but it doesn’t erase the unique signature your device leaves behind.

Nepal Police’s Cyber Bureau has warned the public about phishing scams that are using fake ConnectIPS messages and links to steal login details and drain bank and digital wallet accounts. According to the bureau, attackers are sending fraudulent alerts that create panic, push users to click suspicious links, and redirect them to spoofed pages where their credentials are stolen. The bureau has urged people not to click unverified links, to use only official banking websites, and to report suspicious activity immediately to their bank or the Cyber Bureau.

Stolen credentials allow attackers to hide for months, turning a single compromised login into a catastrophic breach like the 2024 Change Healthcare incident. The Snowflake breach further proved that cloud systems are dangerously exposed whenever stolen credentials meet a lack of MFA.

The Danger of Exposed Debug APIs

The recent exploitation of CVE-2026-22679 in Weaver E-cology serves as a stark reminder: internal development tools can become external gateways for attackers.

This critical flaw allows for unauthenticated remote command ex*****on, meaning hackers don’t even need a password to breach the system. Active exploitation began just days after the patch was released, highlighting the speed at which threat actors weaponize new vulnerabilities.

Stay vigilant. Stay secure.
