Solar energy has arrived at our Alsco Uniforms Richmond branch ☀️

After going coal-free, investing in solar was the next natural step for us, and there's no better place to start than Nelson, home to some of the highest sunshine hours in Aotearoa.

This 150 kW system marks our first solar installation in New Zealand, building on 10 major solar projects already delivered across the Asia-Pacific region.

Early results are promising, with the system already generating around 35% of the site's electricity from clean, renewable energy and is expected to reduce our CO₂e emissions by more than 200 tonnes each year - equivalent to avoiding around 740,000 kilometres of driving in a typical petrol car.

We’re proud to have partnered with Lightforce Solar on this project and appreciate their expertise and support in bringing it to life.

For families with a child in hospital, having a safe place to stay nearby can make an incredibly difficult time just a little bit easier.

The 2025 Impact Report from Ronald McDonald Domain House, Auckland highlights just how important that support continues to be.

In 2025, the room we sponsored supported 34 families from across Aotearoa, providing 339 nights of accommodation, nights where families could stay close to their child without the added stress of finding somewhere to stay.

We’re proud to contribute, but the real impact is in the work RMHC does every day - creating an accessible, warm, and safe environment for families who need it most.

We're incredibly proud to support Orange Sky Aotearoa as they launch their first free laundry service in Ōtepoti Dunedin.

Access to clean clothes is something many of us take for granted, yet for people experiencing hardship or housing insecurity, it can be a daily challenge that impacts dignity, wellbeing and connection. That’s why we’re committed to supporting initiatives like this; practical solutions that make a difference.

It was a great day out for some of our South Island team to attend the opening and see first-hand the tangible impact these pods have in the local community.

We also had the chance to meet and chat with Lucas, one of Orange Sky’s co‑founders, and connect with the amazing local volunteers who run shifts and create space for meaningful kōrero.
