I adore Pisces season and spending as much time in nature and near the ocean as possible. The end of summer in the southern hemisphere, the end of the zodiac cycle and coming into the end of the financial year. A time to reflect, to pause, to exhale. I’m so proud and grateful to all the amazing people I get to meet through my business. I love nurturing people’s dreams and visions, helping to incubate what they hold dear to their heart before launching into the world. So much of what I do feels hidden for quite some time until it’s not. Like coming out of a cave into the sunlight to greet the dawn of the day. So much happens in this gestational period of building brands and websites. Growing the roots deep into the earth to allow for healthy branches to grow up into the light. ✨✨✨

Archetypes originated from Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, who said that in all of the stories ever told by man, there are a number of familiar journeys or characters that are archetypal.Psychological archetypes are therefore universal concepts that are embedded in humanity’s conscious and their subconscious thought. They can stimulate us emotionally and psychologically.

Branding is how people feel about you, your products and services at a gut level. Since brands are like people, we can explore them in the same way we explore ourselves, and develop unique insights and approaches to brand positioning and strategy.

Archetypal branding allows you to research and uncover who you are at a deep level, and anchor your brand behaviour to the beliefs that are already embedded within humanity’s perception of that archetype. The more you can align your brand with the archetype and its related behaviour, the more trustworthy and cohesive your brand has the potential to become.

Internally, by understanding and using your archetype as a guiding framework for your brand, strategies and decisions will come more naturally, communication will be easier, and valuable ideas and energy will flow.

I think Friday is my most favourite day of the week. Not because I have some crazy cool social life (far from it these days being a Mum of a 21 month year old) but I find that at the end of the typical working week people are generally in a good mood looking forward to the weekend. There is a sense of satisfaction and upliftment in the air and it feels like a big exhale after a lot of activity.

Rounding off the end of the month has seen an influx of enquiries and new jobs get approved. I have got the go ahead to do a website for wedding photographer, a website, premium branding package, conceptual imagery and photoshoot for an alchemist of the soul who I've been working with in my Conception Container the past 2 months.

I've also been in discussions with one of my financial adviser clients about their new website, drafted up a concept for their homepage implementing the new branding I've done for them and designed up some very cool email signatures (yes that can be a thing), completed an EDM for my interior design client, some digital ads for a property management company, received a referral to support someone wishing to build a brand around his group work for men, organised a branding photoshoot for next week and been in discussions with a new client wishing to do an intimate brand shoot in a bathtub covered in flowers!

Projects are always varied and I love that. No week is ever the same around here that's for sure!

So I'm heading into a very busy time here at Luminova and feeling happy about that after a much more quieter than normal Winter and reminding myself how business has its seasons and cycles too.

I'm so grateful for the clients who approach me to support them with their entrepreneurial ideas and visions. I can honestly say that I love what I do. I love helping the soulpreneurs, the small businesses, the corporate clients, I genuinely love the wide variety of projects I get to work on, the different problems to solve.

From branding concepts for financial services businesses to sacred alchemists of the soul. I'm not bothered by what your business is, what you do, whether you are male or female, to me I love supporting PEOPLE who have great ideas and passion to keep walking a path that allows them to fulfil their purpose and that brings them joy, freedom and ultimately happiness and in return that fulfils me.

I’ve had a number of shoots with woman this year who are anchored in their wise crone energy. I hold so much reverence witnessing this phase of life for the feminine. Connected to the deep well of their inner knowing that comes from their life experience. Connected to what they stand for. Honouring this incredible woman who I’ve so appreciated getting to know in the photography and design realms in the context of vocation and purpose. We have been exploring possibilities together and what’s unfolding right now in my Conception Container is nothing short of brilliant and inspiring. ✨🫶😍

A preview of my new website homepage which I can now say (big sigh of relief...) I completely adore. Proud moment... I love the high level of creativity I get to produce in my work and find this naturally comes from working with start-ups and small businesses when you're creating from a blank canvas.

I'm grateful for all the interesting clients and projects I've got to work with over the years since starting Luminova in 2015. From a new KiwiSaver fund and financial education magazine to a retreat on Waiheke Island, the projects have been varied.

They all have one thing in common though. It's all about bringing people's treasured dreams and visions to life in a way that aligns. That is why I do what I do. I absolutely love seeing people take action towards fulfilling their purpose and feel privileged to be walking alongside people in that process.
