A big thank you to everyone who joined us for networking and drinks hosted by CNX at The Craft Embassy, Christchurch last Thursday.

It was a great evening of connecting, sharing ideas, and engaging with others working across the region in a relaxed setting.

During the event, Paul Burt spoke briefly about our new partnership with AWS and highlighted a few of our case studies. He also shared insights into the acquisition by First Focus and the increased capacity and capability within the CNX team.

Last week, Chelcie and Josh — our Digital Workplace Team — attended the Digital Workplace Conference in Christchurch, hosted by Digital Workplace Results, and came back with some powerful insights.

A strong theme throughout the conference was the importance of connecting with people, not just communicating to them. In the age of AI, that focus feels more important than ever. Technology can enhance the way we work, but it will never replace genuine human connection.

One of Chelcie’s favourite quotes from day one, shared by keynote speaker Renee Walker, was: “Communication is dealt, connection is felt.”

On day two, Emily O'Brien highlighted a challenge many organisations face — more people are “showing up to the dance floor”, but fewer are dancing. In other words, more employees may be seeing communications, but that doesn’t mean you truly have their attention.

Valuable insights and timely reminders for anyone focused on engagement in the modern workplace.
