Super grateful to have the chance to do a quick logo design for the National Shrine of the Sacred Heart.

The mood and feel they were going for was a classic but modern look. Serious, but meaningful. It's for the Jubilee year, so it has to look grand.

So I decided to go for golden numbers to symbolize prestige and reverence. Placed the Sacred Heart within the numerals to show that its has been the center of the community's devotion after all these years. It's rendered in a classic art style that makes it easily recognizable.

The typography blends script with formal sans serif fonts to show a balance between heartfelt emotion and a solid foundation.

Overall, the design positions itself with a focus on legacy and devotion.

I met back in 2018 when we did an interview with him for a channel. I was so inspired by his story, music, and overall person.

He was also one of the inspirations behind my reason to pursue a healthier lifestyle. made so much sense.

I didn't pick it up until 3 years later tho 😅 Had to go through a whole pandemic to really commit to these new decisions.

So here we are in 2025, no longer where we started, but still got so far to go. If I want to keep on writing and making beautiful things for Katolikha, I need the physical vehicle to do it.

I was graciously approached by the people behind HOME Foundation for their branding and launch in 2025. The task was to improve upon and build a robust system for their visual identity.

"Where your ordinary work is done, there is your opportunity for holiness." Saint Josemaría Escrivá

This color palette features a blend of hues that draw inspiration from the natural world while embodying both nurturing qualities and strength.

The logo type is crafted using a modified version of Malm, a font by Filipino type designer Albert Zedrick. I wanted to do an interplay of hard and soft edges, symbolizing nurture and structure.
