"TAYO ANG GOBYERNO"
We are the Filipinos who should be served by the government, not robbed by it. We have the right and the power to flick away every corrupt individual sitting at the top.
Imagine: billions and billions of pesos stolen every single year. While the Discayas and other “named” contractors step into their luxury cars, the Filipino people are forced to wade through unseen roads drowned in dark, muddy floods.
How insane is it to steal billions of pesos from millions of Filipinos, while watching us collect every disease, every deadly bacteria, and to suffer the extreme adversity brought by corruption?
Corruption is already equivalent to murder, as it forces Filipinos into extreme poverty and hunger while cutting essential health services.
Corrupt politicians should never be considered rich—because we blindly fund their luxurious lifestyle.
Do not worry, we are not poor. We are robbed.
Let me inform you that the 1987 Constitution is an outdated system adapted from the American System. Even there, it has failed to fully work from the US itself. We have already seen the same schemes through the pork barrel scandals.
We have seen this before: the investigations, the hearings, the shows, the drama, the suspensions and sacrifices. After that, people rage, then after a while the heat disappears, and the house of representatives returns to “normal” again.
I believe that protesting only to change politicians is not the solution. Advocating for a better political system is.
"SALAMAT SA PAGBOSES"
We highly respect every journalist who documented and provided solid evidence against the flood control project—who served as an eye-opener for every Filipino. We hope no one was harmed during the rally.
We are here to stop the cycle and patterns of corruptions.
