: 51GB Free Data Labor Day Scam

A phishing campaign is currently circulating in the Philippines, using Labor Day in the Philippines to promote a fake โ€œ51GB FREE DATAโ€ offer. The content is designed to look legitimate by copying branding from Globe Telecom, Smart Communications, and DITO Telecommunity, but redirects users to suspicious, non-official domains.

The goal is to collect mobile numbers and expose users to further phishing or scam attempts. There are also early observations of unusual behavior after interaction, which may suggest unauthorized activity, although this is not yet fully confirmed.

QUICK TAKE: The offer is not real, and interacting with it put your personal data at risk.

: An alleged data breach involving the Department of Education training platform has led to the circulation of a dataset containing approximately 990K records. The breach was claimed by NullSec Philippines and later amplified by Deathnote Hackers International, increasing its visibility online. The dataset reportedly includes full names, user IDs, partial email addresses, and other account-related details, suggesting it may have originated from a structured training or learning management system.

Initial validation by the DWK Team indicates that around 874,770 records contain no email values, while approximately 125,224 records include valid email addresses, bringing the total close to one million entries. The datasetโ€™s structure, volume, and realistic data patterns point to strong indicators of authenticity, although full forensic confirmation remains ongoing.

As of now, DepEd has yet to issue an official statement or confirmation regarding the alleged breach.
