Most people see an app. We see our Mom. ❤️

Growing up, our mom was what you call the "angry-eldest-daughter." At first, we didn't understand, but now we do. She was the family’s ultimate problem solver. She spent her life carrying everyone else’s world on her shoulders.

But in 2024, everything changed. After two strokes, the woman who was our pillar began to regress. The "dragon" who protected us now experiences the world with the innocence of a child. She doesn't remember the things she used to lead, and the distances she once ran now feel like mountains.

Now, it’s our turn to carry her. And we are glad we get to take care of her.

We built Akaiin because when the person who holds the family together needs holding, the logistics shouldn't get in the way of the love.

Happy Mother’s Day to the woman who started (and continues to be) the inspiration behind Akaiin. We built this because when the "dragon" of the family falls, the whole family needs a way to catch her.

And cheers to every mom (and every panganay) out there who is tired of being the strong one and just needs a little help carrying the load.

This day is yours, dragons! 🐉

What started as a desperate attempt to manage the chaos of our mom's care is now backed by the world's leading cloud infrastructure.

We lived it firsthand. The scattered prescriptions, the Messenger threads where critical updates just disappear, the document chaos when a loved one is seriously ill. We looked for a tool built for families like mine and found nothing. So we built Akaiin to be the solution we wish we had.

Today, Akaiin has officially joined the Google Cloud for Startups program! 🎉☁️

Here is what Akaiin does today:
1. Care Circle: One dashboard for the whole family. Medications, health updates, and reminders. No more missed messages.
2. Health Records: All prescriptions, lab results, and documents. Organized and ready when you need them.
3. Care Finder: Find trusted home care and medical services near you, with prices. No more canvassing alone.

Ito ang katotohanan ng milyun-milyong pamilyang Pilipino. Ang sakit ay hindi lang pisikal. Ang totoong bigat ay nasa medical bills, sa utang, at sa pagod na hindi nakikita.

Kaya naman nandito ang Akaiin. Para sa pamilyang nagtatanggol, nag-aalaga, at naghahanap ng paraan araw-araw.

Pakinggan natin ang hiling na maging libre ang gamot mula ulo hanggang paa at ang pangarap na hindi na kailangang pumila nang mahaba sa mga health center.
