Your designer just sent you 6 files and you have absolutely no idea what to do with them. šļø
Here's what each one actually means, in plain English. No design degree required.
PNG : Transparent background. Use on websites, presentations, anywhere you don't want a white box around your logo.
JPG : Compressed image. Best for social media and emails. Never send this to a printer.
SVG : Scalable vector. Resize it to billboard size and it stays sharp. This is your most important file.
PDF : Print ready. Always send this to your printer. Always.
AI : Adobe Illustrator source file. Keep this safe. You'll need it someday.
EPS : Old school vector. Some printers still ask for it. Just hand it over when they do.
Save this post. Send it to whoever on your team handles your design files.
