The world is holding its breath as it watches the recent developments in the Middle East.
At SentiOne, we decided to analyze how the online debate around this topic is evolving.

Based on an analysis of online discussions (24 Feb – 2 Mar 2026) surrounding the military actions of Israel and the United States toward Iran, we identify three main narrative directions:

• A conflict with global potential – conversations go beyond the military dimension. Users point to the risk of regional escalation, airspace closures, and the impact on oil markets and economic stability.
• Strong polarization and a rise in extreme content – the discourse is split between narratives of a “preventive action” and “aggression.” At the same time, the visibility of radical and conspiracy content is increasing, which raises the risk of disinformation.
• A broader geopolitical context – the event is interpreted as part of a strategic rivalry between blocs of influence (USA–Israel vs. Iran and its allies), with potentially long-term consequences for international security.

In an environment of high emotions and rapidly growing mention dynamics, ongoing monitoring of narratives remains crucial, along with early identification of reputational risks, regular verification of disinformation, and limiting its scale.
